  حضرت سعد بن وقاص کہتے ہیں کہ میں حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ مکہ گیا۔وہاں جا کر سخت بیمار پڑ گیا یہاں تک کہ وصیت کی تیاری کی۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم عیادت کو تشریف لائے تو عرض کی یا رسول اللہ!میں اس سرمین میں مرتا ہوں جس سے ہجرت کی تھی۔آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا نہیں انشاء اللہ!پھر دعا فرمائی کہ الٰہی سعد کو شفا دے ،سعد کو شفا دے،سعد کو شفا دے۔حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی دعا سے سعد کو شفا ہوئی حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے وصال کے بعد چودہ پندرہ برس تک زندہ رہے۔   (مسلم)

  Hazrat Sa'd bin Waqas says: I went to Makkah with the Holy Prophet (pbuh). Going there, he fell very ill until he prepared the will. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came to visit, he said, "O Messenger of Allah, I die in the place from which I migrated." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "No, Inshallah, then prayed that Allah heal Sa'd, heal Sa'd, heal Sa'd." Sa'd was healed by the prayer of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and lived for 14-15 years after his death.
