غزوہ خندق میں صحابہ کرام خندق کھود رہے تھے۔اتفاق سے ایک جگہ ایک بہت سخت چٹان نکل آئی۔اسے توڑنے کی بہت کوشش کی گئیں مگر وہ نہ ٹوٹی۔کدالیں اس پر پڑپڑ کراچٹ جاتی تھیں۔آخر لوگوں نے حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں آکر صورت حال عرض کی۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اٹھ کر خود تشریف لائے اور کدال باتھ میں لے کر ایسی ضرب لگائی کہ وہ چٹان چور چور ہو گئی۔ (صحیح بخاری)

ghazwa khandaq main sahaba kram khandaq khod rahe they. atfaq se aik jagah aik bahat sakht chatan nikal aai. eense todney kee bahat kooshesh kee gayen mager wah nah totee. enicdalene es par parpar karachat jati khennakhar logon né hazur sali allah aleeh waalah wasalam kee khedmat main aakar soorat hal araz kee op sali allah aleeh waalah wasalam utth kor khud tashrif laye aur codal bath main lay kor aisi zarab lagai kah wah chatan chor chor ho gayi (sahih bukhari)

 The Companions were digging trenches in the Battle of Khandaq. Coincidentally, a very hard rock came out at one place. Many attempts were made to break it, but it did not break. The spades fell on him and fell on him. Finally, people came to the Holy Prophet (sa) and presented the situation. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) got up and came himself and took the spade in the bath and hit it in such a way that the rock broke into pieces. (Sahih Bukhari)
